**About the job**
We are looking for a driven and knowledgeable **Inventory Team Leader** to join the Tassal team in this exciting leadership opportunity This full-time position, based at our Lidcombe office, will play a key role in promoting the implementation of change initiatives and ongoing strategy within our dynamic team.
Tasks & responsibilities:
- Purchase planning for Bill of Materials of finished products
- Work with key stakeholders across departments to ensure better inventory control to support sales requirements
- Coordinate periodic stocktakes across VA site(s) and 3PL warehouses
- Identify, investigate, and communicate inventory discrepancy
- Keep track of stock quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
- Lead cross-functional projects within the inventory team
- Assist in the resolution of department challenges, with a focus on long term solutions
- Build and maintain long term relationships with suppliers
- Proactively enhance internal control, cost effectiveness, and identify opportunities for improvement
***About you**
To be successful in this role you will possess the following attributes:
- Ability to lead a small team
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - intermediate to advanced excel proficiency
- High level proficiency in ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics experience desirable)
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the FMCG/manufacturing industry
- Strong communication skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships
- Exceptional negotiation and supplier management skill set
- Strong planning and organisational skills along with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across a range of projects and tasks; and
- A positive can-do attitude and great problem-solving skills
