The Lecturer is actively involved in Public Health Medicine teaching and learning activities in the Doctor of Medicine (MD) course. The role will involve coordination of teaching and learning for students in the clinical years of the course, support public health placements for students, research, professional service and engagement with public health practitioners.

**Your key responsibilities will include**:

- Education and Employability_
- Make a significant contribution to the development and delivery of Indigenous Health learning and assessment activities, in consultation with the School’s Indigenous Health Professional Education Team
- Maintain deep discipline knowledge which is applied to inform unit design
- Lead teaching teams to develop effective unit curricula and learning resources (including through unit leadership roles)
- Adopt new innovation in curriculum design at the unit level
- Deliver learner-centric, research-informed teaching practices across different levels / modes of delivery
- Integrate industry, clinical and/or research practice to teaching
- Contribute to review of units and courses and implements refinements
- Implement creative teaching practices to improve student success and engagement
- Provide clear assessment criteria and timely feedback to learners to demonstrate learning outcomes
- Develop effective assessment tasks and rubrics at unit level
- Monitor and adapts assessment practices to improve learning outcomes
- Support diverse learners by designing accessible and inclusive unit material and practices
- Provide academic support to students within the MD
- Guide students to appropriate support services where appropriate
- Contribute effectively to culture of educational excellence and engages collaboratively with peers

**Key selection criteria for this role**:

- PhD in a relevant discipline and/or other relevant qualifications and experience
- competence in developing and delivering Indigenous Health learning and assessment activities, in consultation with the School’s Indigenous Health Professional Education Team
- excellent record of scholarly learning and teaching in UG and/or PG programs, including innovative curriculum design
- emerging reputation in research and scholarship through publications and/or exhibitions and/or success in obtaining external research funding
- ability to make a contribution to community engagement for research and teaching
- capacity to contribute to leadership of teaching, research and/or administration
