**The Role
**In your new role as **D **_esigner - T _**_extiles & Graphics _, you will bring the BIG W customer offer to life through the design of prints for our products, giving our customers quality brilliant basics and key on trend items for great prices. This is a **_full-time permanent _**role supporting our **_Boywear _**category.
- Some of the additional responsibilities of the role include the following:
- Support the development of customer first ranges for the Boyswear category; through the research of trends, bringing new concept to life through designing of seasonal Print ranges.
- Partner with the product designers to understand the customer range for the category in order to develop suitable prints for the customer
- Research, understand and interpret print trends and be able to translate this into production environment to deliver wearable prints for our customers
- Understand key customer insights and issues, continuously review the performance of ranges designed, looking for opportunities to refine and continuously improve in order to drive conversion and sales
- End to End understanding of design in a retail environment from conceptualisation to finished product
- Partner and work within a cross collaborative team that adapts to change and is focused on the customer

**About You
- Experience working with Kidswear/Boyswear (preferred, but will consider other handwriting styles) as a Designer/ Assistant Designer
- Formal qualification in Textiles or Graphics Design
- Previous experience in a Print Designer role for a large retail business including the creation of repeated and placed prints, colour and illustration skills and têxtile print techniques
- Technical understanding of how to execute Graphic Designs onto têxtiles
- Previous accountability designing for a medium volume and medium complexity of options
