**The Role**

As the Garment Technician you will partner across our eco system on the technical design elements and production of garments to ensure the product is meeting required safety and compliance standards to deliver best customer experiences.

This is a full-time 10 month fixed term role based out of our Sydney (Norwest) office.
- Create product specifications including graded specs for each new style
- Provide suggestions of the best way to construct or adjust garment and resolve any potential style and fit issues
- Fit and evaluate all samples against tech pack with designer
- Ensure all products are made in line with BIGW standards and meet required safety and compliance standards and regulations.
- Ensure each product is entered fully into the product database (1QA currently)
- Retention/maintenance of samples as mandated by department
- Collaborate with BrandCo team around Standards, sizing, testing and other requirements to ensure a safe and compliant product
- Work with the broader Quality and Compliance team to assist in root cause evaluations and deliver the safest productions

**About You**

Ideally, we are looking for someone who has deep experience as a Garment Technician and can demonstrate expertise, skills and experience in:

- Pattern making
- Garment construction
- Product standards and regulations
- Product compliance and safety
- Children’s sleepwear and limited daywear guidelines (will be well-regarded)
