Our team is currently looking for a female support worker, dedicated, compassionate, and eager to make a direct impact on people's lives. A Disability Support Worker provides meaningful support and assistance to individuals with disabilities. This involves fostering their independence, assisting with daily activities, and promoting their quality of life.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Holds a Diploma or certificate in social work, Certificate IV or III in Community, Aged Care, Disability or equivalent
- Experiential knowledge in caring for or assisting individuals with disabilities and handling behaviors of concerns
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trusting relationships with diverse individuals and groups.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and schedules, including availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must be patient, empathetic, and able to handle difficult situations.
- Good physical health and stamina, able to perform necessary manual handling tasks

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Assist individuals with daily tasks and activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and mobility
- Supporting to do household tasks
- Develop support plans to suit individuals' needs and goals
- Encourage and facilitate community participation and independence
- Offer emotional support and companionship
- Maintain clear, honest, and regular communication with individuals and their families
- Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with client
- Community Access

**Client's preference**
- Client prefers female/Muslim staff

**Mandatory Requirements**
- NDIS Worker Screening check (5 years validity)
- First aid (valid for 3 years only)
- CPR (valid for 1 year only)
- COVID vaccine certificate
- Police Check (within 1 year only)
- Working with children check
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
- Valid Victorian Driver's License and reliable transportation (if applicable).
- Comprehensive Car insurance (mandatory)
- Visa Documents/Eligibility in working in Australia
- Updated Resume (PDF/Word Format)
