**The role**:
You will ensure traded market risks are accurately captured, modelled, and reported to support the integrity of the Market Risk Internal-Model.

**Your opportunity**:
The role will suit you if love learning and problem solving, is able to take initiative and produce results, can collaborate effectively within a team environment, and can develop warm stakeholder relationships including with senior management. A keen interest in financial markets, geopolitical trends and economic policy impacts will allow for further success in the role.

**The day to day will include**:

- Accurate and timely reporting of market risk metrics against risk appetite limit structures to key stakeholders
- Business support and maintenance of the Market Risk Internal-Model framework and systems from which risk metrics are produced in a timely and accurate manner
- Perform deep dive analysis to add value to the Internal-Model, risk framework and decision making for senior leaders
- Develop and maintain models and tools for Market Risk analysis.
- Work collaboratively and effectively with key stakeholders to deliver quality outcomes that maintain a robust risk framework and escalate material issues to the Manager of MRA.
- Stay abreast of current financial market developments

***What you will bring**:

- Practical experience in financial services and a general understanding of banking principles and obligations
- Ability to interact, influence and work with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to manage high volume workflow and prioritise effectively
- Sound problem solving, written and verbal communication skills
- Tertiary qualified with a Degree in Finance, Commerce, Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
- Additional qualifications e.g., FRM/CFA/AFMA, post grad studies in applied finance, or quantitative/actuarial studies (beneficial)
- Intermediate use of Microsoft Excel. Experience with SQL, Excel VBA, Power BI and/or python is highly regarded.
