The host works in the diesel hydraulic industry, repairing and replacing pressurized hydraulic systems on trucks and road plant equipment. This is a very specialised trade with a national skill shortage.

The apprentice will initially work in the workshop and then move across to being truck based with one of the mobile mechanic's. The work involves replacing, refitting and testing hydraulic systems. These are highly pressurised lifting and driving systems. This is a physically demanding role and applicants must be agile and be prepared to get dirty

As the Apprentice, you will perform tasks including discussing problems with vehicle drivers to discover faults and carry out their own diagnosis procedures.
- Must be an Australian citizen / resident
- Manual Drivers licence and reliable transport
- Genuine interest in this career pathway
- A positive quick learning attitude
- Previous experience is highly regarded
