Scaffold Cadet

Backed by some of the largest Scaffold companies in South East Queensland, we are proud to introduce the first ever Scaffold Cadetship

This year long qualification allows you to earn while you learn and not be hindered by the usual low wages associated with apprenticeship models. The cost of participation is just $500exc gst payable on enrolment

You will study part time and online with supervision from your host employer gaining 6 construction tickets in just 12 months whilst earning $29 per hour instead of the normal $16 on an apprenticeship.

Working as a ground labourer you will learn how to stack, pack and wrap scaffolding products safely and efficiently, over your first six months you will gain a working at heights qualification and eventually your basic scaffold ticket

Once you have gained your scaffold ticket your wage will increase and you will move onto other tickets and ultimately after 12 months you will have a full certificate III in scaffolding and an intermediate scaffold ticket.

This career path is not for the faint hearted, scaffolders are some of the toughest and strongest workers out there so cancel that gym membership

To be eligible for this career pathway you must fit the following criteria;
- To be eligible for the course funding, the following box needs to be ticked:

- I am an Australian citizen
- An Australian permanent resident (includes humanitarian entrant)
- A temporary resident with the necessary visa and work permits on the pathway to permanent residency
- A New Zealand citizen.
- must have a valid drivers licence and the ability to travel to different sites daily
- be prepared for unpaid study leave as per the schedule
- Have a can do attitude and willing to turn up to work shifts as required
- must attend all training sessions
