**Who are we looking for?**

We are seeking a Digital Portfolio Manager to join Digital Business Solution, Administrative Division.

The position is required to build successful partnerships and relationships with a wide range of people both within the university and beyond, particularly within the Administrative Division, and with service providers in DBS and other University Divisions. The role provides leadership and direction to a team of business and information technology professionals. The role is responsible for collaborating with QUT experts to identify, define, optimise and withdraw digital solutions in alignment with education and research strategic objectives. The role will provide leadership on industry trends and innovation opportunities, evaluate and incorporate these into planning for future capabilities, as well as, working collaboratively to manage portfolio roadmaps.

**About the area**

Digital Business Solutions (DBS) provides support for staff and students across a range of information and technology services. DBS uses technology to create value for our students and customers through the portfolios of Learning and Teaching, Research and Innovation, and Professional Services. DBS embraces digital transformation as being fundamental to our service in supporting QUT’s aspirations outlined in Blueprint 6. Digital Business Solutions is responsible for a wide range of services in delivering and supporting digital solutions for QUT. DBS comprises seven business units with dynamic knowledge and expertise that work collectively with the University’s Faculties, Institutes and Divisions to provide quality Digital Solutions and Services in support of both QUT’s Strategic Objectives and in core operations for learning and teaching, research and innovation and professional services..

**What you need to succeed**
- Education, training and/or relevant IT experience equivalent to completion of a postgraduate qualification in conjunction with significant experience in the development and management of IT services relating to higher education technologies.
- Proven management and leadership skills and a proven record of influencing the ongoing development and management of IT services aligned to the achievement of organisational goals.
- Demonstrated ability to implement continuous improvement strategies in complex, cross discipline activities.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills, including the ability to establish positive working relationships with management, inspire and influence internal clients and external organisations in delivering high quality services for QUT.
- Superior technical knowledge of current and emerging trends and developments in the area of IT educational and research related technologies.
