We are a stand alone Kindergarten and rated as an "Exceeding Centre". We seek to provide a happy, caring and secure environment in accordance with our motto "Caring for Children and Families". We operate one Three Year Old Program and one Four Year Old Program. Many of the 4 year old children continue on for the Friday Extended Hours Program. Experienced Teachers deliver a high quality program in a caring Christian Environment. The program is play based and led by children's interests. Intentional teaching extends children's thinking and learning through planned experiences. Teachers use a range of strategies to cater for all children's learning and to make coming to Kinder FUN. A beautiful indoor and outdoor space is available to the children to enjoy with our extensive range of resources. We have a strong sense of community and promote respectful relationships. Children from many different cultures are represented at our Kindergarten. We have a strong connection with our Management Committee. It is made up of members of Camberwell Baptist Church and the parent community. Camberwell Baptist Church Kindergarten is committed to Child Safety. The Kindergarten opted into the Free Kindergarten Programme, however, with the support of the Parents we continue to maintain our high quality programme. **Work Days of the Role** Monday to Thursday 9am to 1.30pm **Hours of Work of the Role** 12 hours Nominated Supervisor and 6 hours lunch cover **Description** - We are seeking a passionate and experienced ECT to lead our Sessional Kindergarten in the position of Nominated Supervisor including covering the Lunch Cover position beginning in Term 1, 2026. A person with strong organisational, personal and team skills, who values partnerships with parents and the community, is required to oversee the operations of our Exceeding Rated Kindergarten. This person should be able to demonstrate a commitment to providing an inclusive, caring, high quality education and care Children and families. The person appointed to this position will work with and be supported by the Committee of Management. To be successful in this role you will: - Have a sound knowledge of VEYLDF, strongly value play based learning and contemporary early childhood practices - Be familiar with and ensure the Kindergarten is compliant with the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Law Act and Regulations, the Kindergarten Funding Guidelines, the National Quality Standards Framework, Child Safe Standards including Mandatory Reporting Requirements, and organisational policies and procedures. - Have strong knowledge of NQIS, be responsible for maintaining the QIP and committed to ongoing improvement of the Service - Have an ability to build strong relationships with children, families and colleagues - Strongly support the Philosophy of the Centre - Oversee and support staff in providing a high quality Educational Program - Be committed to ongoing personal and professional development - An understanding of Child Safe Regulations - All current new Legislations **Qualifications** - A Bachelor of Early Childhood Teaching (or equivalent as approved by ACECQA). - Hold a current VIT registration - Approved first aid qualification including Asthma and Anaphylaxis management - Training in Child Safe regulations **Requirements**: VIT Registration **Industrial Agreement/Award** Victorian Early Childhood Teachers and Educators Agreement 2020 (VECTEA)
