Quantity Surveyor

G&K Plant and Civil Pty Ltd are a leading provider of civil construction, utilities, concreting and plant hire services across NSW.

Given the demanding needs of the business, we now require a Quantity Surveyor to join our busy team.

The duties and responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor position include:

- Prepare cost estimates and budgets for construction and engineering projects.
- Measure and value construction work (using drawings, specifications, and schedules).
- Prepare bills of quantities (BoQs) and other tender documentation.
- Advise on procurement methods and prepare tender and contract documentation.
- Evaluate tenders and negotiate contracts with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
- Monitor and control project expenditure to ensure costs stay within budget.
- Assess progress claims and variations and issue payment recommendations.
- Provide cost forecasting and financial reporting during all project stages.
- Assess and advise on contractual claims and disputes.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed developments.
- Ensure compliance with building regulations, standards, and contract conditions.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers on design and cost optimisation.
- Relevant bachelor's degree or higher qualification; AND
- At least one (1) year or relevant full-time work experience.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
