**ABOUT THE ROLE**

This role is a Permanent position on **9-day fortnight** at our **Worsley Alumina Refinery**, which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (45 minutes) and other nearby scenic communities.

As the **Specialist Project Controls** your role is to Provide governance, assurance and general support to the Worsley Capital Projects team to facilitate delivery of projects within the Worsley Capital Portfolio.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide project assurance to Capital Project tollgate packages prior to Investment Committee submission to ensure that all projects are developed and delivered in accordance with the South32 project management framework.
- Coach and mentor Project Specialists on project deliverables aligned with South32 project management framework.
- Coordinate, prepare and present end of month financial data and commentary.
- Provide safety leadership throughout the project life cycle that is aligned to the South32 values
- not specifications.
- Develop systems and tools to support the Capital Project team as required.

**ABOUT YOU**

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

- A sound technical knowledge and understanding of mining and resources projects.
- A sound understanding with proven experience in developing and managing schedules and budgets.
- Experienced with MS Suite and MS Project.
- A sound understanding of business financial evaluation techniques.
- Several years’ experience in delivering projects of varying complexity and budget ($500k to $5M) throughout the full project lifecycle in a brownfield’s environment within the resources industry.
- Experience in developing and managing/delivering multiple projects simultaneously.

**Qualifications for this position are**:

- Project management qualification
- Engineering or technical trade qualification within Electrical, Process or Mechanical disciplines highly desirable.
