**Location: South Eastern Suburbs and Inner City.**

Are you looking for casual flexible work to fit in with your personal life. Chona Care is currently looking for support staff to fill a number of split shifts in and around South Eastern Suburbs, Inner West and City areas. Shifts vary depending on your availability and you will be working with individuals in their own homes and in the community to meet identified needs and goals.

Some of the key aspects of your role will include the following:

- Providing direct support with day-to-day independent living tasks at home and in the community.
- Providing support to individuals in line with Chona Care's social model of recovery.
- Assisting individuals to participate in lifestyle activities of their choice and to attain better social participation in their community.
- Provide short-term focused interventions, psychoeducation, support and mentoring to enable participants to achieve their goals.

Qualifications and Skills

To be eligible for this position, you **MUST** have the following:

- Experience in the mental health industry, highly desirable.
- Training in related field e.g (mental health, social work, community) or in the process of completing one.
- Have a NSW Driver’s License.
- Current Working With Children's Check
- NDIS workers screening check
- Current valid First Aid Certificate
- Current National Police Check
- Eligibility to work in Australia.
- Own a car that is roadworthy with full comprehensive vehicle insurance and be willing to use your car for work.
- Strong understanding of the principles of privacy, confidentiality, and duty of care.

**Salary**: $32-$38 per hour depending on experience.
