Opera Australia (OA) is Australia’s national opera company dedicated to
**enriching Australia's cultural life** with exceptional opera and musical productions. OA is dedicated to delivering outstanding performances as the resident company at the Arts Centre Melbourne and the Sydney Opera House, and through touring across the country.

**About the role**
Reporting to a
**supportive, encouraging** Development Director, you will be joining an evolving team who are excited about what the year ahead will bring.

The
**Corporate Relationship Manager (Sponsorship & Partnerships) **is responsible for contributing to the financial success of Opera Australia by driving
**memorable corporate relationships** and ensuring consistent and
**high-quality delivery** of benefits and services.

You will act as the
**lead account manager** of an existing portfolio of partners and well as taking initiative and recognising opportunities to
**develop new business relationships** across the corporate sponsorship portfolio.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Being the lead contact for a range of corporate accounts
- Supervising a small team of one, the Partnerships Lead
- Delivering agreed ticketing & marketing benefits for the partners
- Implement sponsorship management plans
- Identify & develop new initiatives to increase income through enhancing partnerships
- Delivering partner events including client hospitality gala nights, community concerts and off-site recital events
- Produce sponsorship impact and evaluation reports for partners
- Review partnerships prior to contract re-negotiations
- Utilise the sponsorship CRM database (Tessitura)
- Be solution focussed & creative with problem-solving when working with partners
- Research prospective partners for business development activities

**Your skills and attributes**:

- Demonstrated success in a similar role
- Events management experience from a sponsorship perspective
- Exposure to sponsorship marketing/branding initiatives
- Experience in problem-solving within a contractual environment
- A perfectionist with attention to detail
- Success hitting income targets through sponsorships/partnerships/fundraising
- Be a great communicator who can deal with a wide range of clients face to face, over the phone, online & written
- Confidence to provide an OUTSTANDING concierge experience to your partners to ensure they return again and again - the ability to think of the small, meaningful details.
- The emotional intelligence to lead a small team, recognise opportunities or problems when dealing with clients
