Maroochydore, Australia Red Lock Escape Rooms Full time

Red Lock Escape Rooms is looking for a Props Technician / general handyman to assist with projects at our escape room locations in Maroochydore & North Lakes. Some work may also be required near Landsborough.

Every day will be different, and you will need a very broad skillset ranging from basic carpentry to electronics and programming. We are seeking a person who enjoys building stuff and bringing projects to life.

You will be helping to build, modify, improve and maintain the props in our escape rooms.

This role may suit a recent graduate or skilled hobbyist looking to broaden their experience by working closely with the owners.

1-4 days per week

Own Transport Required

Casual employment OR Contractor Agreement

Essential Skills & Experience:

- Computers and basic networking
- Experience working safely with a variety of tools (power drills, jigsaws, soldering iron etc)
- Understanding of ESP32,
- Arduino,
- Raspberry pi
- Understanding of basic electronics and sensors
- Creative and highly technical
- General handyman/DIY experience
- Efficient, organised and able to work to strict deadlines

Desirable skills:

- Experience as a stage technician or previous work in an escape room as a tech person
- Understanding of node red
- Understanding of CCTV installation
- DMX lighting Cat 5/6 cabling
- Exposure to Fusion 3d modeling
- 3D printing experience
- Technical Documentation
- Virtual reality experience

Qualifications: Related qualifications are highly regarded but not essential.

**Job Types**: Subcontract, Casual

Pay: From $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 30 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- On call
