Little Wonderland Childcare is a Family owned business, we have an exciting opportunity for a - Permanent Part-time Lead Educator to join our Centre. We are seeking a dedicated experienced team member with a passion for providing high quality care and learning outcomes for children. Our Centre has a friendly team and programs based on the Early Years Learning Framework curriculum, including a Queensland Government Approved Kindergarten program.

Your skills and qualifications should include:

- Minimum requirement hold Certificate 111 and or working towards Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.
- Blue Card
- HLTAID012 First aid
- Current Drivers Licence and vehicle
- Experience in a Lead Educator Role
- A strong understanding of Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be friendly and have a positive outlook and demeanor
- Must be dedicated and professional
- Be compassionate and nuturing
- Be organised and have a natural ability to multitask
- Enjoy taking on responsibility and are driven to improve your practices & grow

You will be required to:

- Ensure a high level of health & safety standards are maintained at all times
- Be responsible as a Certified Supervisor when required.
- Must be able to directing Assistant/ Educators and exercising supervisory leadership responsibilities for supervision purposes.
- Assist the Nominated Supervisor in Managing the Rostering and maintaining ratio, directing Staff according to business needs.
- Liaise with parents and manage day to day interactions and provide themselves as a main person for immediate staffing issues.
- Prepare and implement a developmentally appropriate program developed by observing individual children’s progress, analyzing this and then selecting appropriate activities the same. You will be required to report this information to parents in a confidential manner on an ongoing basis.
- You must work in line with all Centre policies, procedures and Government regulations and National Law without exception. This includes usage of
- Centre forms, daily schedules and anything else the Nominated Supervisor may require.
- Provide the highest quality of care and education with awareness of Early Childhood practice changes. Have willingness for continual growth in professional development and always behave as a positive role model.
- You are required to work in collaboration with other staff and Nominated
- Supervisor to assist in program and service development and implementation. This includes consultation on program development, completion of surveys, safety audits and assistance with self study and continual Centre improvement for Rating and Assessment purposes.
- Maintain an adequate resource level for your room and ensure levels of hygiene in your room and other areas are as required by Nominated Supervisor.
- Prepare and serve food and beverages for the children and other parties as required in keeping with the Centre’s Food Safety Program and Food Handling guidelines.

Programming:

- Prepare and implement a developmentally appropriate program developed by observing individual children’s progress, analysing this and then selecting appropriate activities the same. You will be required to report this information to parents in a confidential manner on an ongoing basis.
- You will be required to contribute to the development of a safe, enjoyable learning environment for the children. This environment is to foster self esteem and is in no way to contribute to a loss of dignity, shame or embarrassment of a child at anytime. You need to foster an environment that is warm, positive, stimulating and inviting.
- Daily programming and up to date program displays are essential. As is providing parents with various forms of communication regarding the programs. Eg. Paren Face to face, communication book ,Storypark, posters, and newsletters.
- Be able to use “Story park ” APP for the purpose of developmental programming.
- To network and support fellow educators in relation to appropriate programming and practice.
- Appreciate that children develop at their own pace and cater for these different levels of competencies. This includes offering an environment and strategies that covers all areas of development and accommodates the various interests and individual needs of each child.
- You must be active in working with development and implementation of the Centre Quality Improvement Plan.

**Job Type**: Permanent

**Salary**: $22.79 - $39.55 per hour
