The Small, Medium, and Corporate team helps businesses achieve their digital transformation and business goals by helping customers with Microsoft solutions and partners. Located in either a Digital Sales center, or a local subsidiary, you will help our managed and scale customers across industries, company sizes and territories to identify their needs and opportunities using the latest in digital selling technology including big data and analytics. One of the fastest growing customer segments in the industry, you will help customers realize value from the Microsoft Cloud across customer solution areas like Modern Work, Security, Business Applications, Infrastructure, Data and AI, and Application Innovation.

**Responsibilities**:
**The Impact You'll be making**

Join our Modern Work Team as a Surface Specialist and help our customers provide a secure, productive modern workplace with innovative Surface solutions. As the Surface Specialist you will focus on a set of assigned accounts as you drive revenue growth across the entire Surface device and accessories portfolio. As you consult with the customer's Technical and Business Decision Makers, you will gain a deeper understanding of their unique business needs, and recommend a solution that will empower their employees and drive their business forward. You will partner closely with our customers when they evaluate hardware solutions, provide guidance as they engage in pilots, and orchestrate a v-team to help remove potential deployment blockers to ensure a successful outcome and high customer satisfaction.

As a Surface Specialist you will:

- Be the Surface Sales Leader and Technical Product expert for your assigned set of customers as part of the Modern Workplace team
- Be the interface to the customer and orchestrate a v-team of resources to solve customer's problems
- Help customers make decisions to build their business and IT solutions based on Microsoft technology
- Help identify and diagnose technical and competitive blockers and respective solutions for sales opportunities by engaging the right resources to overcome these blockers
- Own opportunities from start to close as a v-team leader; orchestrate internal and external resources; team with partners to scale sales on hardware refresh, upsell and expand sales motions; engage Modern Workplace sellers to incorporate Microsoft 365, Windows 365, and Modern IT (Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Azure AD)
- Sales Execution - Acts as a thought leader across solution areas to advise customers across business functions on digital transformation, drive robust deployment and create business value for customers by Identifying and facilitating removal of blockers to consumption by partnering with internal and external stakeholders
- Scaling & Collaboration - Leads the sales orchestration to proactively drive deal closure by identifying and aligning internal stakeholders as well as leveraging and expanding relationships with partners.
- Sales Excellence -Manages the end-to-end sales and delivery success of the assigned territory; conducts forecasting for accounts and develops a portfolio and territory plan to drive intentional selling aligned with strategic priorities aimed at maintaining levels of client satisfaction.

**Qualifications**:
**What skills do you need to have?**

There will be many opportunities for you to learn and grow into this role and Microsoft. However, to be able to best deliver on the purpose of this role, these are the core skills and experiences you should have on day one:
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
6+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience

OR Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field AND 5+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications:

- 8+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, or related field AND 6+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience
- OR Master's Degree in Business Administration (e.g., MBA), Information Technology, or related field AND 5+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience
