About the position
The Storeperon supports the Fleet Maintenance program of work to ensure all parts are available for use as and when required, including issuing parts and consumables to train technicians to satisfy fleet maintenance and business requirements.
- Permanent, full-time position
- Hours of work:
- Kananook depot: A standard two (2) week repeating roster of week 1, day shift (Mon-Fri), week 2 afternoon shift (Sunday - Thursday)
- Free on-site parking
Key responsibilities include:
- Receipt and inspect stock and non-stock deliveries and system entries with effective management of goods that are found to be defective.
- Storage, management and cyclic stock take of store stock to ensure material stock holding is correct in Ellipse and in correct Warehouse locations.
- Arrange for the issue and transfer of parts from stock or from other depots or subsidiary warehouses to satisfy the local Maintenance Centres requirements and system entry of such transactions into Ellipse.
- Ability to interpret and identify train parts effectively for shop staff.
- Operate forklift, overhead crane and other mechanical equipment as required.
About you
- A current/valid Full Victorian Driver’s Licence.
- Strong experience working in a similar storeperson position within a rail or heavy industry organisation.
- Forklift licence and willingness to obtain a Riggers licence.
- Ability to use Microsoft Excel and Parts Tracking Databases eg; Ellipse.
- Ability to work in a manual handling position, lifting heavy items.
