**The Role**
Reporting to the Head of Operations and Maintenance, you will ensure adequate spares are available to meet the demand based on failure rates and network growth, facilitating the team’s ability to meet and exceed network uptime targets. You will assist the Operations & Maintenance Manager in the establishment of a spares warehousing solution and a National based Field Operations workforce.
**Your duties will include**:
- Spares Management - management of spares including analysis, forecasting, ordering, tracking and replenishment
- Field Operations - Assist in the establishment of Field Operations and the associated spares warehousing to integrate with incident and problem management, as well as ad-hoc maintenance requests.
- ITIL process ownership
- Reporting - development of reports on a needs basis as well as compiling both weekly/monthly reports
- Continuous Improvement and Optimisation - identify and raise improvement initiatives to improve systems, products, vendors and processes and track to completion
- Network Design - provide feedback on engineering design improvements
- Process Improvement - develop and document processes to improve the Operations function
- Vendor Management - work closely with vendors and manage their performance against agreed SLA’s
- Supporting the Deployment team with non-functional requirements
- Proactive risk assessment of systems and services to identify requirements for availability improvements
- Ensure timely identification of root causes of problems and implementation of preventions
- Improve network resilience to natural disaster events
- On-Call - Participate in out of hours on-call roster for escalations

**Skills and Experience**
- Degree or higher level qualification in Engineering or Information Technology disciplines.
- 3+ years experience in Network Management, specifically Spares Management, as well as IM, CM, PM, Field Support - preferably in the Teclo or IT industry.
- Strong analytical and forecasting skills/experience
- Ability to champion and drive a clear strategy, liaising and obtaining stakeholder buy-in
- Proven ability to manage process effectively, maximising value and minimising waste
- Excellent interpersonal skills to influence and lead
- Detailed knowledge of Service Management and IT environments and their associated support systems.
- In depth knowledge of industry best practice and methodologies, specifically ITIL.
- Problem solving, multitasking and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
