**The Opportunity**
Our National Payroll team are looking to recruit a Payroll Officer to join our Brisbane office on a full time permanent basis.
As the Payroll Officer you'll be responsible for delivering effective and seamless payroll support while ensuring the process is in line with legislative requirements. You will also be responsible for ensuring appropriate payment, disbursement, checking and reconciliation procedures are in place and undertaken in a timely manner.
**About You**
To be successful in this role you will have the following experience and skills:
- Minimum of 2 years' specific payroll experience preferably gained in a high volume work environment (500+ employees), including end to end payroll processing payroll, processing of termination pays, strong leave analysis and reconciliation skills, etc.
- Comprehensive understanding and effective use of standard software packages (particularly Microsoft Excel) and systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge and interpretation of current legislation which directly affect the payroll function.
- Proven ability to communicate at all levels.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
- High attention to detail.
- Strong numerical ability and data entry skills.
- The ability to prioritise multiple tasks and balance conflicting workloads and demands.
- Experience with Chris21 and/or Oracle HR System is desirable however not required.
