We are currently partnering with a high profile State Government department on the Sunshine Coast. They are looking to recruit an AO3 Project Costing Officer on a 5 month contract with likely extension to join their energetic and dynamic team.

About the role:
The Project Costing Officer provides high level administrative, financial and procurement services to support business operations and the delivery of services. You will be a key member of the team, responsible for timely, effective, efficient and responsive service to internal and external clients to meet operational objectives.

Experience within finance admin, procurement support and projects very relevant to this role.

Responsibilities will include:

- Undertake financial and timesheet transactions in relation to daily costing, revenue claims in projects and work orders.
- Monitor the financial position of projects and work orders and ensure only correct charges are being allocated to projects or work orders.
- Undertake "End of Month" and "on request" financial reporting to enable accurate project or work order tracking and to indicate the overall financial position of various projects.
- Requisition and monitor the supply of goods and services to ensure workflows are uninterrupted. Investigate and resolve routine supplier complaints and feedback. Monitor Inventory purchases and apportionment of costs and assist with stocktaking as required.
- Prepare and check employee timesheets for validity of allowances and entitlements to enable correct payment.
- Communicate in a professional manner with internal and external stakeholders.

About you:

- Previous experience in finance roles working on civil infrastructure
- Strong computer literacy and the ability to rapidly learn new software packages relevant to their role.
- Experience in administration in the project, finance, logistics, purchasing or procurement space.
- Good communication and enjoys working in project teams
- Possess a flexible work attitude and contribute positively within a team environment.
