Perform routine operational duties including patient reception, specimen reception, data entry, inventory control, maintaining clean work areas and other duties as requested.
Processing blood and non-blood specimens from clients of Pathology Queensland as per protocols.
Key competencies (role specific criteria)
You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following key capabilities, knowledge and experience. Within the context of the responsibilities described above under 'your key responsibilities', the ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

- Demonstrated operational knowledge of Clinical Pathology and Specimen Reception procedures, and medical and scientific terminology.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a responsible and efficient manner with and without supervision within a team environment. Ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
- A demonstrated commitment to the principles of quality management and continuous quality improvement.
- Ability to actively participate in a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, occupational health and safety and ethical behaviour.

Qualifications, registrations, and other requirements
