**Gardeners / Open Space Maintenance Workers**

We are currently seeking Garden/ Open Space Maintenance workers to work with local government organisations throughout the Melbourne Region. Experience OR Certificate in Horticulture are required for these positions as well as being double vaccinated as per the government mandate.

**Your new company**

Hays has worked very closely with the councils throughout the Melbourne region and can guarantee you will be working in a friendly and accepting environment. Some councils offer training and the opportunity to learn and grow in each role. Each position will have you doing something a little different every day. This will allow you to try new things and utilise your skills to the fullest. Don't miss your opportunity to work with your local government organisation on a casual/temporary basis with the potential of going permanent down the track.

**Your new role**
- Operate commercial mowers
- Planting and garden bed maintenance
- Brushcutting
- Blowing
- Spraying and hand weeding
- Pruning/Trimming of trees
- Planting (shrubs and trees)
- Whipper Snipping
- **What you'll need to succeed**
- Previous commercial gardening experience
- Mowing experience - desirable
- Chainsaw ticket - desirable
- Police Check (required to work with all councils)
- Covid Vaccination Certificate (required to work with all councils)

**What you'll get in return**
- 38 hour working week
- Fortnightly RDO (depending on the council)
- Weekly pay
- Ongoing work with potential for permanent
