Position Title: Head Coach and Facility Manager

**Salary**: $70,000 + 11% Superannuation

Infinity Martial Arts - Stafford Heights are looking for an experienced Head Coach and Facility Manager for an immediate start. This position is a full-time ongoing position, working 38 hours per week based in
Stafford Heights, QLD.

The Head Coach and Facility Manager will be responsible for the following duties:

- The primary goal of the Instructor and Facility Manager is to oversee Infinity Club operations with the aim of achieving profitability, while simultaneously ensuring a secure, well-structured, and inclusive environment for practitioners of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu across all proficiency levels
- Instruction of all types of classes
- Training and supervision of Trainee Instructors o Martial Arts skills training o Coaching training o Supervision and direction of general duties
- Following any procedures set down by the Employer and/or work with the Employer to develop reports as required.
- Stock management
- Establishing and managing all supply arrangements to the Infinity Club
- Managing staff as required
- Ensure the cleanliness, safety, and maintenance of the gym facility, including regular cleaning and sanitation of mats and training areas.
- Implement safety measures and security protocols to protect both the facility and its members.

This includes emergency response planning and addressing safety hazards.
- Ensure the BJJ gym complies with local health and safety regulations and any specific requirements for martial arts training facilities.
- Maintain an inventory of training equipment, gis, and protective gear, order necessary equipment, and maintain records of equipment condition and usage.
- Address member inquiries, concerns, and requests related to the facility. Maintain open and effective communication with gym members to ensure their needs are met.
- Foster a sense of community among gym members by organizing social events, workshops, and activities that promote camaraderie and inclusivity.
- Manage the budget for facility maintenance, equipment purchases, and operational expenses, while keeping accurate financial records
- Produce reports for the Employer Representatives as requested by the Employer Representatives

(eg, financial, member numbers, strategy for future etc.).
- Marketing to drive membership increases o Internal
- Encouraging referrals o External
- Sets up, packs up and attends scheduled shopping centre promotions.
- Organises public promotion of the facility to attract new clients - with approval from

Managing Director
- Handles customer enquiries.
- Manages the Infinity club’s finances, particularly expenditure up to the level delegated by the Board of Directors.
- For the purposes of sponsorship, promotional, and public relations activities of the

Employer and/or any sponsor of the Employer, the Instructor and Facility Manager shall attend at and participate in such events as may reasonably be expected.

For this position it is expected that you would possess the following qualifications/work experience:
Qualifications and Skills for BJJ Head Coach and Facilities Management:

- Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
- Education: Bachelor's degree and Certificates III and/ or IV in fitness, health and physical education, nutrition, marketing, sports management, business administration, or a related is preferred.
- Coaching Certifications: ICT Certificate
- First Aid and CPR Certification
- Teaching Experience: at least 2 years of FT experience as an assistant coach or instructor in a BJJ gym.
- Competition Experience: A successful competitive background in BJJ can boost your credibility as a coach. Competing and winning in BJJ tournaments demonstrates your technical skills and commitment to the sport.
- Effective Communication: Strong communication skills are essential to effectively teach and motivate students, as well as to build positive relationships with students and parents.
- Leadership Skills: As a head coach, you will be responsible for managing other instructors, organizing events, and creating a positive team atmosphere.

Previous experience in facilities management, preferably in a sports or fitness setting, is highly valuable.
This includes knowledge of equipment maintenance, safety protocols, and space optimization

**Salary**: $70,000.00 per year
