Parts Buyer

I am pleased to be working with my client in the waste, recycling and scrap industry and as such I am leading the search for a **Parts** **Buyer & Sales Co-Ordinator.**

**Your Role**

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with industry knowledge who understands vehicle parts and purchasing processes and is ready to hit the ground running.

You will be the first point of contact for customers, handling inbound calls and negotiating vehicle purchases. This role requires someone with confidence and a strong understanding of the automotive wrecking and recycling industry to assess opportunities and make sound buying decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Handle incoming customer calls and inquiries related to vehicle purchasing.
- Assess and negotiate vehicle purchases (wrecked, damaged, or unwanted cars).
- Accurately record purchase details and liaise with the operations team.
- Provide excellent customer service while maximising buying opportunities.
- Work closely with management to help establish and grow an offshore support team in the future.
- Help train and support junior staff once the team expands.

**To Succeed**
- Previous experience in the automotive, wrecking, or recycling industry (essential).
- Solid understanding of car parts and vehicle valuations.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- High attention to detail and solid decision-making abilities.
- Phone-based customer service experience is highly regarded.
