We’re looking for a driven **Market Analyst** who will play a critical role in enabling data-driven decision-making across marketing and sales functions. This role will be responsible for gathering, analysing, and interpreting market data to uncover insights, evaluate performance, and identify opportunities for sales and marketing initiatives that drive growth.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing and working cross-functionally you will provide insights, support strategic initiatives, market segmentation, campaign optimisation, sales enablement, and customer segmentation.
In this role, you will:
- Collect, cleanse and analyse external and internal data to support marketing and sales initiatives.
- Synthesis data and insights from mintel, smithers, ibisworld, BIS Oxford, Circana.
- Develop dashboards and regular reports on market, customer and consumer behaviour and provide actionable insights that influence strategy, planning, and execution.
- Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify trends, threats, and opportunities.
- Provide data and support insights that inform market segment strategies that ensure a pipeline of innovation, solutions and marketing to support Opal’s success within specific market segments for example; produce, protein, QSR.
- Support the evaluation and measurement the effectiveness of digital and traditional marketing campaigns.

You might be working Agency side on research or in category analysis at an FMCG company and seeking a change.
We're looking for a proactive, energetic individual with a passion for thought leadership and building strong business relationships.
Ideally, you will have:
- Experience in B2B or industrial marketing environment preferred.
- Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, or related discipline.
- Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or professional services industry (preferred but not essential).
- Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel, Power BI/Tableau, or similar analytics tools.
- Experience working with Marketing platforms and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Familiarity with market research and insight service providers.
- Experience in large-scale business environment (e.g., organisations with significant customer bases or revenue streams) is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of SQL or other data querying languages is a plus.
