**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**JOB TITLE**:Support Worker

**JOB TYPE**:Casual

**LOCATION**:Client Homes/Public Outings

**SUPERVISOR/MANAGER**:Christie Quaremba

**MAIN DUTIES**
- Personal Assistance & Skills Development
- Community Participation
- Domestic Assistance
- Respite Care& Support Relief
- Bible studies

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Support workers are required to act as a role model to the client that is being supported or guided
- Must be Punctual
- Be responsible for the well-being and safety of clients under care
- Keep all matters related to clients or their families confidential at all times
- Extend support/care period if the need arises
- Must have personal hygiene
- Adhere to dress code policy
- Have the ability to recognise client hygiene to protect self from transmission based situations such as: Fleas, Ticks, Ringworms, covid, colds and flu etc.,
- Be upto date with Covid restrictions.

**SKILLS/ABILITIES**
- Good communication skills are a must-have for any support worker
- He/she must have good interpersonal skills so as to be able to easily identify the needs of each client
- Ability to understand and be patient/calm irrespective of provocation from clients being cared for or supported
- Interacting respectfully with patients and their relatives (if the need arises)
- Must possess excellent problem-solving abilities
- Must be compassionate when carrying out his/her duties
- Flexibility in work patterns and schedule is of great importance
- Ability to work as part of a team if need be
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision
- He/she must display a great level of trust and honesty at all times
- Must be able to adapt to different conditions and cases
- ability to share the Good News and pray with clients

**TRAINING**
- First Aid
- Risks & Assements
- Ability to follow procedures
- Must have the ability to use technology
- Must participate in Training provided by Simply Fresh Hope

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Workers with childrens check
- Drivers license
- Police check
- Covid Immuisation certificate
- Registered vehicle
- Road worthy certificate
- Must agree and comply with Biblical Christian beliefs and practices
- Christian Faith

**PERFORMANCE GOALS**:
To improve the quality of life and help the client become more independent

**THE OBJECTIVE**:is to being people to know Jesus through your words actions and deeds

**Salary**: From $28.69 per hour

- Day shift

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- National Police Certificate (preferred)
- Driver Licence (preferred)
