Furniture Installer

**Overview**
- The Installer receives, unloads and installs (assembles) modular and freestanding furniture. The Installer reports directly to the Operations Manager.
- All Installation Team members work to ensure smooth workflow in a manner consistent with our 5 Star Customer Service Standards. Your priority is taking direction from the Lead Installer/Operations Manager to ensure accurate and timely installation of furniture in compliance with manufacturer’s specifications, serving our customer needs, according to management directives.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the loading, unloading and transportation of furniture.
- Install (assemble) furniture - both modular and freestanding, in compliance with manufacturer’s specifications
- Identify and develop product lists from plans and delivery dockets necessary to complete installations
- Install furniture in compliance with design specifications
- Provide fine-tuning of furniture upon completion of installation, i.e. cleaning, wiping down and levelling
- Take direction from Lead Installer for loading, transport, unloading, staging, stripping, assembly and movement of furniture

**Qualifications**:

- Ability to read and interpret furniture installation drawings
- Mechanical ability, knowledge of hand/power tools, good organizational and communication skills

You can expect to:

- Occasionally work outside or in extreme heat and around electrical and mechanical equipment
- Sit and stand for extended periods of time, move distances within and between warehouses/offices
- Drive to and from client’s jobs
- lift/carry heavy items
- May work in high places and around dust and dirt
- Occasionally work different shifts and weekends
- Seeing, colour perception, hearing/listening, clear speech, touching (dexterity)
- valid driver’s license (LR preferred but not essential)
- Reading and writing skills, basic math and statistics skills, judgment and decision making, analysis and comprehension
