Working closely with your small team of hospitality staff, you'll lead the kitchen to success by providing exquisite catering & daily hospitality services that exceed the satisfaction of all residents. You'll enjoy being hands-on in the kitchen for a large portion of your day, connecting with residents and completing administration items. Most importantly, you'll have a passion for delivering a gold standard of service This is a permanent full-time opportunity working Monday-Friday 9-5.30pmWhat we offer:$98,789p.a including super Employee Referral Program and Employee Assistance ProgramDiscounts to Health Insurance and Retail & Leisure partner providersOpportunities for further career progressionBe part of a friendly and supportive team in a caring retirement living communityYour Impact:Be responsible for all kitchen operations – cooking and preparing daily meals and creating fresh ideasWork closely with your team to deliver great service, ensure the restaurant is running smoothly and coordinating ideas for events and functionsMonitor daily Food Safety checklists and ensure strict adherence to all OH&S policiesComplete stock management of all goods including ordering, rotation and amendmentsComplete staff rostering, hiring and ensure your team deliver outstanding service to customersFollowing up on day-to-day operational issues including adhering to schedules, cleaning lists and performance issuesWhat you'll bring:Experience as a Cook or Chef (e.g retirement villages, cafes, a la carte settings, RSLs or pubs)Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (required)Qualified Food Safety Supervisor (desirable)Kitchen management or administration experience (ordering stock, rostering and admin experience)Current Police Check clearance and minimum two (2) COVID-19 vaccinations (required)Who we areAs a leader in retirement living, with 30 years' experience, Aveo provides the stability and confidence to try new things and keep innovating.
