The Opportunity

Lindfield Gardens Retirement Living is nestled amongst serene bushland in East Lindfield, overlooking the sparkling upper reaches of Middle Harbour. Working closely with your small team of hospitality staff, you'll lead the kitchen to success by providing exquisite catering & daily hospitality services that exceed the satisfaction of all residents. You'll enjoy being hands-on in the kitchen for a large portion of your day, connecting with residents and completing administration items. Most importantly, you'll have a passion for delivering a gold standard of service

This is a permanent full-time opportunity working Monday-Friday 9-5.30pm

Your Impact:

- Be responsible for all kitchen operations – cooking and preparing daily meals and creating fresh ideas
- Work closely with your team to deliver great service, ensure the restaurant is running smoothly and coordinating ideas for events and functions
- Monitor daily Food Safety checklists and ensure strict adherence to all OH&S policies
- Complete stock management of all goods including ordering, rotation and amendments
- Complete staff rostering, hiring and ensure your team deliver outstanding service to customers
- Following up on day-to-day operational issues including adhering to schedules, cleaning lists and performance issues

What you'll bring:

- Experience as a Cook or Chef (e.g retirement villages, cafes, a la carte settings, RSLs or pubs)
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (required)
- Qualified Food Safety Supervisor (desirable)
- Kitchen management or administration experience (ordering stock, rostering and admin experience)
- Current Police Check clearance and minimum two (2) COVID-19 vaccinations (required)
