Crisis Prevention Specialist

Our Mental Health Team is dedicated to providing holistic support to individuals in crisis, focusing on preventative measures and promoting positive change in their lives.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a compassionate approach to their work, and relevant experience working with mental health consumers.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting clients to navigate services and providing support for effective management of distress
- Developing and implementing suicide prevention plans tailored to individual needs
- Collaborating with clinical teams to promote client wellbeing and community engagement
To be successful in this role you will require:
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
- Strong understanding of the Area Mental Health Service and principles of DHHS Recovery-Oriented Practice
- Recent experience working with mental health consumers and individuals in crisis
