Role Overview
Clinical Nurse Specialists play a vital role in Warrigal's multidisciplinary care teams, overseeing the day-to-day provision of clinical care and ensuring that all customer care, assessment, and documentation requirements are met. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for the education and oversight of staff to ensure high-quality care services are provided to meet the daily needs of customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and education to staff to ensure high-quality care services are provided.
- Oversee the day-to-day provision of clinical care and ensure that all customer care, assessment, and documentation requirements are met.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to develop and implement care plans that meet the needs of customers.
- Conduct regular staff competency assessments to ensure staff have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of care services provided.
Requirements
- A current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, with experience in aged care highly regarded.
- Demonstrated clinical leadership skills and knowledge.
- Knowledge of all relevant legislation affecting the operation of aged care services.
- Learning and development experience, including undertaking staff competency assessments.
- Resourceful, respectful, passionate, and willing to share knowledge and experiences within the team.
