
Aboriginal Health Specialist Nurse

We are seeking an Aboriginal Health Specialist Nurse to support our organisation in increasing workforce capacity and implementing culturally responsive strategies for Arterial Fibrosis and Rheumatic Heart Disease management.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for embedding standardised processes for ARF/RHD management, including staff training, prevention activities, clinical care, and care coordination of individuals living with RhD. This is a large clinical component role within our Public Health Division.
This position will work closely with a RhD Program Coordinator to achieve organisational goals. As an Aboriginal Health Specialist Nurse, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the health outcomes of Aboriginal people in Central Australia.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement standardised processes for ARF/RHD management
- Provide training and education to staff on ARF/RHD prevention and management
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care to individuals living with RhD
- Registered nurse with experience in primary health care or related field
- Strong understanding of Aboriginal cultural practices and protocols
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
