Senior Electrical Design Lead

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team. As a key member, you will contribute to various high-profile projects across multiple sectors.

As an electrical design lead, your primary responsibility will be to provide expertise in electrical design for single and multi-disciplinary projects. You will also lead small to medium-sized design projects, ensuring best practice delivery while managing costs and timelines.

You will have the opportunity to work on major projects in transport, defence, civic infrastructure, as well as smaller projects in other sectors. This role is ideal for someone who wants to drive business development and contribute to the growth of our organization.

Key aspects of this position include:

  • Electrical Design Expertise: Provide leadership in electrical design on both single and multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Project Leadership: Manage small and medium-sized engineering design projects and support larger projects for efficient delivery.
  • Client & Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with clients, authorities, colleagues, and managers to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Best Practices and Cost Optimization: Deliver optimal outcomes by applying best practices and reducing costs without compromising quality.
  • Business Unit Development: Contribute to the development and growth of the business unit by supporting strategic goals and initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong expertise in electrical building services engineering and design documentation.
  • 6+ years' experience in Australian building services projects, preferably in a consulting environment.
  • Well-versed in delivering multiple concurrent projects with varying scales and sectors.
  • Excellent client relationship management and project management skills.
  • Ability to lead, train, and mentor junior engineers.
  • Strong leadership, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with relevant Standards and Codes (AS/NZS 3000, NCC, etc.).
  • Understanding of BIM, NavisWorks, and Revit MEP (desired).
