Compensation Package
The compensation package for this role includes an estimated annual salary of $120,000-$180,000 depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to the base salary, employees may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses and a best-in-class employee share program.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist Reliability Engineer - Structural to join our team at BMA Hay Point Terminal. The successful candidate will provide technical support to the Maintenance team by applying Reliability Centred Maintenance principles in driving defect elimination, improvement initiatives and identifying opportunities to support safe and reliable operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Demonstrate Safety Leadership: Support the Field Leadership program to continuously improve safety performance.Build Business Partnerships: Establish and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the business.Drive Reliability Improvements: Support reliability improvements and the elimination of defects in the end-to-end maintenance system inclusive of defects in parts, procedures, work quality and processes.Analyse Performance Metrics: Analyse performance metrics and benchmark performance across the site and other BHP businesses.Develop Operating Standards: Develop and optimise maintenance strategies that enable plant safety, reliability and performance to be maximised.Closely Monitor Equipment Performance: Closely monitor equipment performance in relation to cost, performance and reliability and complete targeted root cause analysis (RCA). Develop and implement subsequent improvement actions and monitor their effectiveness.Provide Coaching: Provide coaching to the maintenance execution team in regard to defect elimination and root cause analysis.Work Collaboratively: Work closely with other functions within the organisation including Maintenance and Engineering Centre of Excellence (MECoE), supply and production departments.Requirements:
- Mechanical & Reliability Industry Experience: Mechanical & Reliability industry experience in Maintenance or Degree qualified in Structural Engineering.
- Strong Proven Work Experience: Strong proven work experience in a similar role.
- Effective Communication: Ability to influence, engage, & communicate with stakeholders effectively across all levels of the business, from frontline employees to senior management.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with a collaborative approach to finding practical solutions utilising continuous improvement processes.
- Project Management: Ability to define and manage projects from conception to completion.
- Microsoft Office Applications: High-level of experience with all Microsoft Office Applications & 1SAP.
- Risk Management: Ability to apply management of change & risk principles.
- Adaptability: Willingness & ability to learn, adapt to change.
