Job Title: Research Grants Officer

Mater Group is seeking a highly skilled Research Grants Officer to join our team. As a key member of our research administration team, you will play a critical role in supporting the success of our research grants.

About the Role:

The Research Grants Officer will be responsible for providing high-quality support services and data analytics for the increasing number of successful and diverse research grants in Mater Research. This includes assisting researchers with grant-related queries, managing internal grant scheme funding rounds, and undertaking data analytics to inform Executive and Program Leadership about Mater Research performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality support services to researchers, including grant-related queries and data analytics.
  • Manage internal grant scheme funding rounds, including engagement with Mater Foundation.
  • Undertake data analytics to inform Executive and Program Leadership about Mater Research performance.
  • Assist researchers with grant-related queries, including pre- and post-award funding processes.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Education, training, and/or relevant experience equivalent to completion of a degree.
  • At least four years' relevant experience in research administration or statistics.
  • Experience and in-depth current knowledge of the research funding environment and research administration.
  • Ability to analyse complex data sets and develop reports that effectively communicate this information.
  • Highly developed administrative skills, including proficiency in MS Office suite and experience with maintaining electronic databases.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to interact across multiple functional areas.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new IT systems and provide effective support to researchers.
