About the Role

Our organization is seeking a seasoned Tax Leader to spearhead their end-to-end tax strategy across Australia and New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables
  • Oversee all corporate tax compliance obligations including income tax returns, Business Activity Statements, Fringe Benefits Tax, Payroll Tax, contractor withholding tax, and transfer pricing documentation
  • Manage tax provisioning & deferred tax calculations
  • Provide strategic tax advisory support on Mergers and Acquisitions, corporate restructuring, and international expansion initiatives
  • Partner with senior leadership and the Board on tax strategy and planning opportunities
  • Lead the development and implementation of a robust tax governance framework
  • Manage tax audits and ATO reviews in coordination with advisors and tax authorities
  • Ensure alignment with internal controls, policies, and evolving tax legislation
  • Deliver in-house training on Goods and Services Tax, Fringe Benefits Tax, withholding tax, and other key areas to non-tax stakeholders
  • Mentor and manage the tax team to support their performance, development, and career growth
  • Monitor changes in local and international tax law and assess business impact
  • Support process improvements, automation initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration
