About the Role
As a Tax Director, you will play a pivotal role in leading the firm's tax advisory function, working closely with clients to provide high-level strategic tax advice. You will manage a team of professionals and oversee complex tax matters, including international tax, transfer pricing, transactions, and small business concessions.

Key Responsibilities
- Review and assist with complex tax calculations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Provide expert advice on transfer pricing policies, ensuring adherence to global and local regulations.
- Lead tax advisory services for acquisitions, mergers, and restructuring, guiding clients through tax-efficient strategies.
- Assist clients with small business concessions, maximizing tax benefits and compliance.
- Oversee transaction tax advisory work, including capital raising, structuring, and due diligence.
- Navigate and advise on international tax matters, including cross-border transactions and double tax agreements.
- Work closely with key stakeholders to develop tax-efficient business strategies.
- Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and development.
- Stay ahead of regulatory changes, ensuring clients receive proactive and strategic tax advice.
About You
To thrive in this role, you will bring:
- Relevant qualifications (CA, CPA, or Masters of Taxation highly regarded).
- Extensive experience in tax advisory at a senior level, ideally within a respected accounting or consulting firm.
- A deep understanding of corporate tax, transfer pricing, international tax, and transaction advisory.
- Strong technical expertise in Australian taxation law and its practical business applications.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax legislation.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with a passion for developing high-performing teams.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying and delivering value-added tax solutions.
