Linux Software Engineer for Innovative Projects

About the PositionWe seek an experienced professional to join our engineering team at Canonical. As a key contributor, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality software solutions for Linux devices.
You will collaborate with our team of skilled engineers to create innovative technologies that drive business growth across various levels of seniority. Key skills required include proficiency in Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred), experience with programming languages such as Golang, C, C++, or Rust, strong academic background in computer science or related field, and exceptional problem-solving abilities.
In this role, you will:
- Contribute to the development of Ubuntu Core and snapd software
- Work on silicon software and optimization projects
- Develop kernel drivers and hardware enablement code
- Collaborate with other teams to integrate and maintain device-oriented software stacks
