A civilian role within the Australian Public Service workforce within Navy.
- This role will involve providing psychological support to Defence members, conducting organisational assessments and delivering mental health training.
Part of a broader psychology team of professionals including Clinical, Organisational & General Psychologists as well as Psychology Assistants.
About Our RoleDelivering best-practice resilience and mental health programs contributing directly to Navy's capability and national security.
Working with Navy leadership to optimise members' performance and strengthen the Navy workforce.
This is a non-ongoing position for 14 months to cover maternity leave.
Our TeamThe Navy Psychology West team provides full scope of Navy Psychology services to Navy Fleet Units and the Garrison Shore Establishment at HMAS Stirling.
Responsible for delivery of Mental Health and Wellbeing Program for the Submarine Force.
The team works together to achieve high standard of psychology service provision liaising regularly with command elements health providers and other wellbeing stakeholders.
What We Are Looking ForA highly motivated individual who can work with reasonable autonomy and has willingness to learn.
Passionate about supporting Navy personnel to perform at their best in order to successfully fulfil Navy's Mission.
Capable of performing range of psychology services including psychological assessments, training delivery and development report writing.
Drawn to working in operational occupational and clinical space, able to adapt to changing environment and provide advice on complex and sensitive issues.
Capable of building and sustaining effective working relationships with team members and actively participate in teamwork and group activities.
