Senior Software Engineering Leader Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned software engineering leader to help drive our product roadmap and deliver key capabilities.

This is a hands-on role, requiring deep technical expertise and leadership influence to guide architecture, shape technical direction, and mentor the team.

Our tech stack includes TypeScript end-to-end, React on the front, Node on the back, running on AWS with a strong focus on backend engineering.

You will pair leadership skills with real coding experience to deliver ambitious projects at pace.

This is a hybrid role allowing you to work where and when it works best for you. Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne.

A 6 month contract. Flexible arrangements available.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading technical teams and guiding architecture
  • Shaping technical direction and driving innovation
  • Mentoring engineers and developing their skills
  • Coding and delivering high-quality software products

Requirements:

  • Proven technical leadership experience with a full-stack software engineering background
  • Hands-on experience in Typescript, React, Node, and AWS
  • Strong understanding of testing principles and secure coding practices
  • Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum

Preferred skills include:

  • Understanding of Content Management Systems (CMS) and Digital Experience Platforms (DXP)
  • Interest in AI solutions, Search or Vector database
