Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled painting trades worker to join our professional team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality finishes and maintenance services to our valued clients.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces by removing old paint, washing, filling holes and cracks, and smoothing and sealing surfaces.
  • Paint Application: Select, mix, and apply paints, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprays.
  • Safety Protocols: Work with protective coverings, such as tarps and tapes, to prevent accidental damage to surroundings.
  • Client Communication: Consult with clients to understand their preferences, colors, and finishes.
  • Quality Control: Ensure quality control and maintain high standards of finishing in all work.
  • Tool Maintenance: Handle and maintain tools and materials in a safe and organized manner.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Painting and Decorating (or equivalent).
  • At least 3 years of practical experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in surface preparation, brush, roller, and spray techniques, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Remuneration:

The successful candidate can expect a salary of approximately $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
