Instrumentation Systems Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Instrumentation Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting field investigations and client interviews to determine work scope and cost estimates for a project's control systems aspects. You will lead the design, development, modification, and evaluation of control systems components and processes, ensuring that technical issues are resolved and unique and complex requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate, select, and apply standard Control Systems engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria, using independent judgment in making adaptations and modifications.
- Participate in the design, development, and modification of mechanical components and processes utilizing relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards, and guides, and Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs).
- Coordinate work and collaborate with other engineering disciplines.
- Coordinate Control Systems engineering efforts in assigned areas with specialty groups, engineering disciplines, the client, vendor, contractors, construction, and other functional groups.
- Prepare conceptual studies, designs, reports, or proposals.
- Provide technical assistance to other Control Systems personnel and interact with project functions, the customer, and regulatory agency personnel in the resolution of complex regulatory issues and industry codes and standards.
- Provide assistance to project and construction management in identifying and complying with project Control Systems requirements and in addressing issues as they arise during project execution.
We require a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience. You must demonstrate understanding and working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards. Familiarity with Bechtel Standard Applications (BSAPs), including Setroute, TEAMWorks, Aconex, DSCS, Unifier, Agile, Navisworks, and Universal Plant Viewer is preferred. You should be computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
