Job Opportunity: Complex Claims Manager

We are seeking experienced and motivated professionals to manage a portfolio of complex life insurance claims. In this role, you will assess claims in line with policy intent, supporting customers through critical life moments with empathy and professionalism.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Proactively manage and assess a portfolio of claims end to end, developing case management strategies to drive sustainable outcomes.
  • Use our claims platform and tools to support high-quality assessments, communicating professionally with customers and stakeholders.
  • Deliver timely updates and transparent decisions, ensuring members feel informed and cared for throughout their claims journey.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish relationships with claimants, financial advisers, and distribution partners.
  • Drive an inclusive workplace culture, identifying opportunities to improve claims assessment processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience managing life insurance claims, ideally with 3+ years' experience within a Group Insurance environment (TPD, IP, Death).
  • Solid understanding of relevant legislation, policy definitions, and the claims assessment process.
  • Ability to interpret complex information and make evidence-based decisions.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain outcomes clearly and support customers with empathy.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field are desirable but not essential.
