Job Title: Rehabilitation Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Rehabilitation Consultant to join our team at IPAR. As a Rehabilitation Consultant, you will play a critical role in providing occupational rehabilitation services to clients with a range of conditions, both physical and psychological.

About the Role:

This is a diverse role that offers flexibility and autonomy to manage your own day. You will have the support of a strong, close team of driven and energetic healthcare professionals with the backing and resources of a global corporate infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Case management, including developing and implementing injury prevention and workplace education programs;
  • Applying your clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes;
  • Working with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs;
  • Working collaboratively with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals;
  • Working across various schemes, including workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs;
  • Assisting those with an injury or health condition to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes;
  • Completing a variety of assessments using your clinical skills, including initial, workplace, and vocational assessments to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, address psychosocial barriers to employment, and identify suitable employment opportunities for workers who have sustained workplace injuries or injuries sustained from motor vehicle accidents.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Nursing or Social Work;
  • Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency AHPRA or membership with AASW;
  • Previous experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation industry would be highly regarded;
  • Fabulous communication skills, including the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders;
  • Compassion and kindness, as well as empathy, are essential qualities for this role;
  • Well-developed time management skills are a must, as is a current NSW Driver's License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance.
