As a valued team member, the Human Resources Officer plays a pivotal role in providing expert human resources support to our business unit. Key responsibilities include:

HR Advisory and Consultancy Services

Deliver contemporary best practice human resources support in the following areas:

  • HR advisory and consultancy services based on industrial frameworks, including policies and practices.
  • Workforce information analysis and reporting.
  • Research, analyse and interpret human resources data to provide professional advice and recommendations (written and verbal).
Leadership Support

Provide guidance and advice to leaders regarding human resource issues that balance employee and organisational interests.

Communication and Reporting

Prepare sensitive correspondence (including but not limited to letters, reports, submissions, guidelines, briefs) on a range of HR issues for internal and external stakeholders.

Strategic Planning

Lead and/or contribute to the development and implementation of the human resource strategic plan and action plan.

Evaluation and Improvement

Contribute to the evaluation of human resources services and initiatives to ensure they are directed towards supporting business outcomes.

Culture and Teamwork

Foster and role-model a work environment that values performance, improvement, innovation and outcomes and knowledge sharing within the business unit.

Actively participate in a team environment and contribute to a positive workplace culture where team members enjoy coming to work, and ethical practices, workplace safety, equity and diversity are valued.
