Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with customers to test implementations, achieve signoffs, and drive system readiness for go-live.
  • Assist developers in understanding APIs for extending the Calypso system, adding data, and building interfaces with external systems.
  • Train users and customer developers on system basics, focusing on technical setup.
  • Perform system installation tasks, including Java JRE downloads, relational database installations, and event-driven framework configurations.
  • Work hands-on with the system, configuring it and ensuring it meets customer technical requirements.
  • Partner with Calypso business analysts, core development, or customer development to code prototypes of enhancements, ensuring they meet business needs.
  • Manage technical project aspects, including tracking timelines and communicating progress to customers.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in systems analysis or technical analysis, preferably in capital markets.
  • Strong GUI and server-side development skills, with experience in Java, C++, Swing, JDBC, RMI, J2EE, Linux, Sybase, and XML.
  • Excellent object-oriented analysis, design, and development skills.
  • Knowledge of relational databases and SQL, with experience working with Sybase and/or Oracle.
  • Prior domain experience in developing software or implementing software in support of asset classes like credit derivatives, interest rate derivatives, equity derivatives, fixed income, or FX is preferred.
  • Experience designing/building front-to-back capital markets trading systems is highly valued.
  • Business acumen is essential, as you'll interact with end-users and understand trade capture, trade workflow management, market data capture, cash flow generation, trade valuation, sensitivity analysis, payment advice, and securities position management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are required, as you'll educate and train customers.
  • Willingness and ability to travel, as needed.

Competitive Salary Package

Our estimated annual salary range for this position is $120,000-$180,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
