AWS Data Center Security Professional

The AWS Data Center Security Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and security of our data centers. This encompasses overseeing the interface with vendors involved in system repairs, providing access control management support to internal and external stakeholders, observing and reporting physical security system anomalies, and coordinating the activities of a professional contract guard force.
About the RoleThis position is based in a control room environment and follows a shift rotation schedule. Key responsibilities include:
- Interface with and assist in mobilizing vendors for system repairs
- Provide access control management support to internal and external customers
- Observe and report physical security system anomalies
- Report security incidents and policy breaches
- Coordinate the activities of a professional contract guard force
- Oversee individual security vendor deliverables, track service delivery, and request corrective actions from vendors as needed
- Foster working relationships to educate stakeholders on false alarm reductions
- Analyze data to observe improvements and extract metrics
- Verify data center security programs meet defined global security standards
- Develop strategies for improving electronic surveillance and access controls
- Prepare reports and presentations on physical security operations
- Collaborate with security managers in writing and implementing security processes and procedures
