Fulfilling Kitchen Leader Role

We are seeking an experienced Centre Cook to join our team at Young Academics Early Learning Centre. This is a hands-on cooking role supporting nutrition and meal provision for children and staff in an early learning setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Implement and modify (where required) a seasonal menu created by our nutritionist.
- Maintain regular checks in compliance with the NSW Food Standards Code and Health Regulations.
- Assist staff and families in providing high-quality education and care.
- Collaborate with the staff and families to facilitate learning opportunities relevant to the educational program.
- Maintain professional, supportive and respectful relationships between management, staff, families and children.
- Demonstrated Cook/Chef experience in the Aged Care or Early Childhood Education and Care sector.
- An ACECQA-approved qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care is preferred but not mandatory.
- Alternatively, a relevant Commercial Cooks qualification.
- Food Handlers Basics Certificate.
- Valid NSW Employee Working with Children Check.
- Knowledge of Food Standards Codes, EYLF and NQS.
