Renal Care Specialist Needed for NSW Locum Role

MARS Recruitment is currently seeking experienced Senior Registered Nurses with expertise in renal care to join our team for a locum opportunity in a regional healthcare facility located in country NSW.

This role involves working full-time hours on a rotating roster for the duration of the contract, with options to commit to 6 or 13 weeks. The focus will be on delivering specialized renal care, supporting patients undergoing dialysis, and managing chronic kidney disease. As a Senior Renal Care Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in educating patients and their families on ongoing care, treatment plans, and lifestyle adjustments.

The facility offers a comprehensive range of services, including a 24/7 Emergency Department, general medical and surgical inpatient care, renal dialysis services, post-acute care, and palliative care. Located just:

  • 1 hour north of Echuca
  • 2.5 hours west of Albury
  • 4 hours' drive to Melbourne

This locum position offers an attractive package, including:

  • A competitive hourly rate: $42-$55 per hour + Super (based on experience)
  • Bonus: Up to $1,000 Christmas agency bonus for contracts over the holiday period
  • Accommodation: Provided by the facility
  • Travel: Reimbursed per KM if driving / Bus or Flights booked directly
  • Schedule: 38 hours per week with additional hours paid at casual rates

To be eligible for this role, you must have:

  • Current unrestricted AHPRA registration
  • Full working rights in Australia (no visa sponsorship available)
  • Bachelor of Nursing Degree with relevant renal/medical qualifications
  • NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) (or willingness to obtain)
  • Minimum 2 years postgraduate experience in renal care
  • Driver's License and car (case-by-case exceptions can be made)
